Serving the area from S. Carrollton to Audubon St., S. Claiborne to Willow

The mission of the Central Carrollton Association (CCA) is to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood we serve.
We work with our city councilperson & staff - and with police, school, and other officials - to address infrastructure improvements, land use issues, city ordinance violations, tree planting, eliminating blight, crime prevention, glass recycling, beautification, and many other activities that enhance our neighborhood.

Since our inception in 2006 we have:
* Planted trees - over 600 since Hurricane Katrina.
* Held cleanups in our two cemeteries and worked with veteran’s groups to maintain graves and headstones.
* Subsidized the placement of crime cameras throughout the neighborhood.
* Addressed blight, code enforcement, and street and drainage issues.
* Planted and maintained dog-waste stations around the Adams St. cemeteries, the McNair school campus, and elsewhere around the neighborhood.
* Held annual block parties and socials.
* Published a newsletter to keep our members informed about meetings, activities, and issues.
* Organized community forums featuring city officials, leaders, and experts.
* Launched a popular program to collect, sort, and recycle 8,000 to 10,000 lbs of glass monthly.
* Working with our partners, made strides to rein in damaging "doubles to dorm" developments.
* Represent the neighborhood by attending monthly NONPACC (New Orleans Neighborhood Police Anti-Crime Council) meetings and communicating with NOPD 2nd District & Tulane University liaison.
* Communicated and interacted with the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Engagement, District A Councilmember's office, the schools within our area, and other neighborhood associations.
